Where your Nireye readings are saved

Saving keeps a journal entry. Where that entry lives depends on whether you are signed in when you save it.

Without an account: this browser on this device

As a guest, Save keeps your reading in this browser on this device. Its cards, question, interpretation, journal note, resonance check-in, and any saved follow-up can be reopened in History. Refreshing the page does not normally remove a saved entry.

A different browser, private browsing session, or new device does not have that copy. Clearing this site's browser data can remove it. Browser storage is not a backup or protection from someone who can use the same browser profile on your device.

When sign-in is available, Save & sign in first saves a device copy and then opens sign-in. You can leave sign-in and still find that local copy in History.

With an account: a journal you can open on another device

Readings you save while signed in are stored in your Nireye account, including saved journal notes, resonance, and follow-up text. Sign in to the same account to access them from another device. Check that saving succeeded before closing the page.

Existing guest readings are not silently uploaded on sign-in. History shows a preview and asks whether to Copy to account. Only confirmed copies are removed from the device journal. If copying fails or a version conflicts with an account entry, the remaining device copy stays available for review.

Some notes stay on the device even when you sign in

Today's card reflections, later daily check-ins, practice notes, and learning progress stay in this browser. Signing in does not sync them to another device. They are separate from the notes attached to a saved reading in your account.

The page you left open is also different from a saved entry. An active reading may be restored in the same browser tab, but use Save if you want it in your journal. Starting another reading or clearing browser data can remove that active draft.

Guest mode does not mean the reading stays entirely offline

When AI reading services are available, your draw and optional question are processed on the server and may be sent to the configured AI provider. Temporary reading sessions support the narrative and one follow-up; their default expiry is 48 hours. A saved journal entry is separate from this temporary session.

Deleting the active session from the reading result does not delete a journal copy you already saved. Deleting a saved entry does not promise to remove an independent active session. For the complete processing and retention details, use the Privacy policy.

Export, deletion, and sharing

Account controls let signed-in users export or delete their Nireye account data. Device data can be cleared separately on the current device. Deleting an account does not reach browser-only copies on other devices; review those devices separately if needed.

A shared reading is another copy. Review the sharing options and preview before sending it, especially whether the question is included. Your private journal notes are not included in the reading share output. Removing the original does not erase a copy someone already received.

Common questions

Will signing in bring back readings from a lost device?
Only readings that were saved or explicitly copied to your account can be accessed through that account. Signing in cannot recover browser-only data from a device you no longer have.
Why can I see a reading on one device but not another?
It may still be a device-only copy, or the devices may be signed in to different accounts. Check the storage label and any Copy to account prompt in History before clearing data.
