Start Horseshoe

Read the seven positions in order

This Horseshoe uses past, present, possible near development, your stance, surroundings, obstacle, and possible direction. Start at the lower left, follow the numbered arch, and finish at the lower right. Different tarot traditions use different position conventions; the labels shown here are the ones used in this reading.

The first three positions establish context and momentum. They invite you to connect what you remember with what you notice now. The near-development position explores a possibility if a pattern continues, without establishing a future event or date.

Separate influence from certainty

The remaining positions examine your approach, circumstances around you, a challenge, and a possible direction. Surroundings means influences you can check through observation or conversation. It does not give access to private thoughts.

Read the final position alongside the obstacle and your own stance. What could change if your response changed? The synthesis connects the groups, and the final action should remain small enough to try. Save the complete layout to return to these connections without losing the position order.
